Zim vs SA – Sinaloa JAFTA out of Zimbabwe tour, Wilander gets first call-up to South Africa national team

Jafta was one of just five players who were part of the T20 World Cup squad – the others being Laura Wolfhardt, Aneri Derksen, Kayla Reineke and Karabo Miso – to be selected for South Africa’s opening visit to their neighbours, and her absence will mean less experience in an already young squad.
In Jafta’s absence, Misu, who has played eight T20Is for South Africa but none in the last World Cup, is expected to take the gloves and should also bat in the top six. For Miso, this will be an opportunity to establish itself as a natural alternative to JAFTA in the future.
South Africa depart for Bulawayo on Monday and will play five T20Is between September 11-19. Apart from Wilander, there are three other players who have not previously played in the team: fast bowlers Kaitlyn Wingard and Nthabiseng Nene, as well as Luyanda Nzuza.
