Transfer news: Manchester United deal announced, Arsenal double move, Folarin Balogun bomb

Barcelona star Dani Olmo said he “does not understand” Atletico Madrid’s treatment of Julián Alvarez after being denied a “dream” move.
The Argentine forward was of interest to Arsenal and Barcelona heading into the final days of the window.
Speaking to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish playmaker said: “Julian is a great player, a great number 9, and one of the best players in the world without a doubt, but this is football.
The Barcelona star added: “Do you understand that? I don’t understand. In the end, we all have our dreams. I think Julian was also clear about that.”
“He fought for his dreams, but in the end there are also other external situations that cannot be controlled. In that sense, this was one of them, needless to say.
“But life goes on. It doesn’t stop.”
While neither Barcelona nor Arsenal were able to sign Alvarez, the pair did in fact end up working together, with the Catalans instead sealing a move for Gabriel Jesus.
