Rapid launches took place on Saturday, with one Falcon 9 carrying eight Globalstar satellites from Florida and another launching the US Space Force’s secret mission USSF-366 from California.
The first Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida at 9.12pm EDT on Saturday (6.42am EDT on Sunday). It carried eight satellites for the Louisiana-based communications company Globalstar into low Earth orbit.
SpaceX said all eight satellites were successfully deployed, with the spacecraft detaching over a period of approximately six minutes approximately 56.5 minutes after liftoff.
Just 38 minutes later, another Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Space Force Base Vandenberg on California’s central coast. The rocket lifted off at 9.50pm EDT (7.20am EDT on Sunday), carrying the US Space Force’s secret mission USSF-366.
Earlier, it was reported that Japan succeeded Fired The H3 rocket carrying the Michibiki satellite.
