Barcelona emerged from one of their busiest transfer windows with almost the same margin of financial fair play as they had when the summer began.

Ferran Torres deal gives Barcelona plenty of breathing room

The departures involving Marc Cucurella and Alejandro Grimaldo generated €1.3 million and €800,000 respectively, while Nico Gonzalez provided another 1.9 million euros.
The calculation also includes loan agreements and training compensation, rather than relying solely on permanent sales.
Marc Casado’s late loan move to Deportivo has yet to be fully integrated. Deportivo will only cover part of his wages, meaning the deal should provide some additional relief from the FFP once final figures are confirmed.
Barcelona still has room for a signing in January
The numbers leave Barcelona in a much better position than their raw summer spending might suggest.
The club generated €133.8 million of FFP through departures and savings, with Casado’s contribution still outstanding. This broadly offsets the €132.5 million taken up by new arrivals.
As a result, Barcelona are expected to finish the transfer window with around €65-70 million of FFP, roughly where they started.
