Bayern Munich news: Results of Bayern Munich’s 3-1 win over RB Leipzig

✅ That’s right: Harry Kane is set to commit to a contract extension until 2029 at the earliest. As I mentioned previously – before the recent Times report on the subject – both sides were very clear: there is no idea of extending Kane’s contract by just one year. Both sides knew the new contract would run until 2029 at a minimum. Maybe there will be a chance to add another year to the top. Kane, of course, is at an age where Bayern cannot commit to a five-year contract. Usually, for players of the Englishman’s age, they are usually given only one year, but this case is an exception.
To point out how important Harry Kane is to Bayern Munich, by the way, I should mention that the club really wants to make a big deal out of him winning the Golden Boot last season. There are plans in place to host a big display (shared on the club’s live streaming platform) at Säbener Straße next week, and to honor Harry Kane in the Bayern Museum at the stadium. So, you see, they want to do everything they can to show their appreciation for Kane, keep him happy in Munich, and of course encourage him to sign a new contract. Everyone hopes to sign it!
Everyone can agree that a contract through 2029 would be best for both sides, so now it’s just a matter of how much money they offer in salary. I can confirm that Bayern Munich are very clear that they will not offer Harry Kane less than he currently has. So, with that in mind, I think the negotiations will not be particularly long.
