1. Tata Sierra EV – Upcoming Cars Under Rs 20 Lakh!
Tata has confirmed that it will be launching the electric version of the Sierra on June 30. This is quite an exciting launch, considering it will likely get QWD, allowing it to become quite a capable off-roader. The Sierra EV will borrow all the features from the ICE version and offer a few more features like terrain modes, V2V, V2L, a 540-degree camera and much more. Tata could offer a 55kWh battery pack and a 65kWh battery pack, with the latter getting dual motors. The Tata Sierra EV could carry a price tag ranging from Rs 17 lakh to Rs 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). It will compete against the likes of the Creta electric, Mahindra BE 6 and Maruti e Vitara.

2. Maruti Brezza Facelift
One of Maruti’s best-selling SUVs, the Brezza, is due for an update, and its facelift has been spotted multiple times. The Brezza facelift will get a larger touchscreen, an underbody CNG tank, new alloy wheels, and a few cosmetic upgrades. Other expected features include ventilated front seats, a digital instrument cluster, a powered driver seat, a panoramic sunroof and much more. Rumours suggest that Maruti will likely offer a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine in the Brezza to make the most out of GST 2.0 norms, allowing Maruti to price the Brezza even more aggressively. Maruti will likely price the Brezza between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Maruti will likely introduce the Brezza facelift by the end of 2026.

3. Toyota Hyryder Facelift – Upcoming Cars Under Rs 20 Lakh!
Toyota’s best-selling SUV, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, has been a very successful product thanks to impressive fuel economy figures and reliability. And soon, the SUV could get a facelift with a few cosmetic upgrades and new features. As it shares most of its components with the Grand Vitara and the Victoris, we expect the Toyota SUV to get new features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, level 2 ADAS, and a few more. It will likely get the underbody CNG tech from the Victoris, allowing for a more practical and usable boot even with CNG. This Toyota SUV will likely carry a price tag ranging from Rs 13.50 lakh to Rs 25.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Toyota could launch this SUV by the end of this year or early next year.

4. Nissan Tekton
The Renault Duster has made a comeback in the Indian market, and soon, its sister car, the Tekton, will come next month. After a long wait, Nissan has confirmed that it will be launching the Tekton on July 9. Being the Duster’s sister car, the Nissan Tekton will borrow most of the features from the Duster. Features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen, Level 2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and much more. We expect the Tekton to get 3 engine options: a 1.0-litre turbo petrol, a 1.3-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.8-litre petrol hybrid (expected by Diwali). Nissan could price the SUV with a price tag ranging from Rs 12.40 lakh to Rs 22 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

5. Chery iCar V23 – Upcoming Cars Under Rs 20 Lakh!
JSW will soon bring many Chinese cars to India, and one of the most exciting is the Chery iCar V23. The iCar V23 will be a lifestyle SUV that will compete with the likes of the Mahindra Thar Roxx. With its quirky design, this SUV will surely stand out on Indian roads. The iCar V23 will be loaded to the brim with features like a massive 15.4-inch touchscreen, ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, and the list goes on.
In the Chinese markets, the iCar V23 gets 2 battery pack options: a 59.93kWh battery pack and an 81.76kWh battery pack. The smaller battery pack with a single motor RWD configuration (134bhp & 180Nm) has a claimed range of 360km, while the larger battery pack with AWD (211bhp & 292Nm) has a claimed range of 430km. The SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 27 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and will likely be launched by the end of 2026 or early 2027.
