Yan Diomande problem! Liverpool cannot let the arrival of Victor Munoz stop them from signing the Ivorian teenager

Ivory Coast coach Emers Faye is completely fascinated by Diomande’s application and personality.
He added: “He is a child who has a real team spirit. He laughs with everyone, listens, and listens to the coaching staff when they give him advice, and tries to do his best, as he is told.” The former Nantes midfielder said after last weekend’s 1-0 win over Ecuador. “It’s easy to work with someone like Yan. He’s very talented and has what it takes.”
In fact, it was impossible not to be impressed by the industry, speed and skill that Diomande showed in Philadelphia, with Fay even being amazed by the 19-year-old’s impressive performance on his World Cup debut.
“What more can I say? I can’t put it into words.” The elephant trainer admitted. “He’s very talented and still very young, so he’ll get better.” Which is why Liverpool may feel they have no time to waste. They have other transfer targets, including PSG’s odd man out, Bradley Barkola, but Diomande is clearly at the top of their wish list – and it may be a case of now or never.
Judging by his rapid rate of progress over the past two seasons, first in Spain’s second division, then in the Bundesliga, Faye may be right: Diomande will improve – which in turn means his value will increase. In fact, another impressive display against Germany this weekend would add another few million to his price tag.
Diomande then is not only a problem for opponents, but has become a problem for Liverpool as well – because if they want to sign Salah’s ideal successor, the only possible solution is to pay the exorbitant nine-figure fee demanded by Leipzig.
