The physician-led brain wellness initiative aims to support healthy aging in India

ActiveMind Daily, a brain health initiative under the BlueprintRx healthcare project, has invited 50 founding families to participate in a 10-day pilot program designed specifically for seniors in Indian homes.
Developed by physicians and grounded in scientific principles, the program provides a short daily activity that supports memory, language, attention, thinking, and family communication. The initiative offers a simple, screen-free approach to cognitive wellness and healthy aging.
Addressing a neglected need in elderly care
The elderly population in India is growing rapidly. However, brain health prevention remains largely absent from everyday discussions of elderly care. While health care providers routinely deal with conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease, cognitive engagement, social connection, and meaningful mental stimulation often receive much less attention until significant declines occur.
ActiveMind Daily seeks to bridge this gap by encouraging proactive brain health practices before symptoms appear.
Designed for the realities of Indian family life
Unlike traditional wellness apps, ActiveMind Daily doesn’t require seniors to use screens or manage logins. Instead, the program is in keeping with the routines and dynamics of Indian families.
Participants can complete activities independently, with minimal family support, or through a short telephone conversation between parents and adult children living in different cities or countries.
Furthermore, the program uses culturally familiar themes to make participation fun and meaningful. Daily prompts draw inspiration from memories of childhood festivals, favorite songs, regional proverbs, and traditional food experiences. As a result, the activities feel more like conversations than clinical exercises.
Reminders are sent through WhatsApp or phone calls, making sharing convenient and accessible. Families can easily track their progress through the program. To encourage consistency, participants who complete the first seven days receive a surprise gift. Furthermore, the program allows for make-up sessions when families miss a day, reinforcing the philosophy that sustainable habits are more important than perfection.
Designed by doctors committed to preventative brain health
ActiveMind Daily was created by a team of doctors who believe brain health deserves the same daily attention as cardiovascular health. According to the team, the initiative focuses on making knowledge sharing an accessible and enjoyable part of everyday life.
According to the press release, the program is supported by evidence-based curriculum and aims to help families incorporate brain health practices into their daily routine.

Through ActiveMind Daily, you help create practical tools that promote cognitive health while strengthening family connections for older adults.
“We designed these activities to meet families where they are – not in the clinic, but in their living rooms, around dining tables, and in their everyday moments. Brain health remains one of the most overlooked aspects of healthy aging in India. At a time when short-form content, constant distractions, and passive consumption dominate daily life, we risk losing out on curiosity, creativity, and meaningful mental engagement. ActiveMind Daily encourages a culture in which keeping the mind active becomes a daily habit — not out of fear of decline, but as a celebration Lifelong learning, curiosity and connection.
Supported by a growing network of healthcare stakeholders
ActiveMind Daily also benefits from the support of an expanding network of doctors, medical trainees, and students of Indian origin who attend American high schools. These contributors work closely with the physician leadership team on research, program development, participant feedback, and ongoing improvements.
Together, they help ensure that the initiative evolves in response to the real-world needs of Indian seniors and their families.
Guided by global public health recommendations
The program activity framework is based on evidence-based public health guidelines related to cognitive health and healthy aging. Specifically, it includes recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Institute on Aging (NIA), helping to ensure that the program remains consistent with established best practices in preventive brain health.
