Royal Enfield recorded domestic sales of 94,115 units in May 2026, registering a healthy 24.13% growth over 75,820 units sold in May 2025. However, sales were down 9.62% on a month-on-month basis when compared to 1,04,129 units sold in April 2026. The company’s core 350cc portfolio continued to be the primary growth driver, accounting for more than 92% of total domestic sales. Models such as Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Hunter 350 collectively contributed over 78,000 units during the month.

Leading the lineup was Classic 350 with sales of 34,594 units in May 2026, up 20.84% from 28,628 units sold a year ago. The motorcycle accounted for 36.76% of Royal Enfield’s domestic volumes. Bullet 350 emerged as one of the strongest performers, posting 35.26% growth with sales rising to 23,372 units from 17,279 units in May 2025. Hunter 350 also delivered strong results, growing 27.84% YoY to 20,418 units. Meteor 350 recorded sales of 8,360 units, up 8.61% over 7,697 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Among Royal Enfield’s newer products, Guerrilla 450 was the fastest-growing model in percentage terms. Sales increased 60.10% YoY to 1,657 units, compared to 1,035 units in May 2025. Himalayan registered a modest 9.27% growth with 1,627 units sold, while the 650 Twin range saw sales rise 34.65% to 3,602 units. On the other hand, Super Meteor and Shotgun witnessed significant declines. Super Meteor sales dropped 52.53% to 404 units, while Shotgun fell 58.25% to just 81 units.

350cc Motorcycles Dominate Volumes

Royal Enfield’s sub-350cc category, comprising Classic, Bullet, Hunter and Meteor, generated 86,744 units in May 2026. This represented a 24.68% increase over 69,576 units sold in May 2025 and accounted for 92.17% of total domestic sales. The 450cc portfolio, including Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan, recorded combined sales of 3,284 units, up 30.11% YoY. Meanwhile, the 650cc range posted 9.87% growth with 4,087 units sold.

Sales Decline MoM

Despite healthy year-on-year growth, Royal Enfield’s domestic volumes declined across almost the entire lineup when compared to April 2026. Total sales fell by 10,014 units or 9.62%. Classic 350 declined 8.88% MoM, while Bullet 350 and Hunter 350 were down 6.66% and 6.97%, respectively. Meteor 350 saw a steeper decline of 16.90%.

The biggest sequential drop came from Guerrilla 450, which fell 33.02% from 2,474 units in April to 1,657 units in May. Shotgun sales were also down sharply by 42.96% MoM. At the category level, Royal Enfield’s 350cc motorcycles declined 8.70% month-on-month, while the 450cc range fell 25.62%. The 650cc portfolio registered a 13.04% decline.
