OPPO Reno 16c To Be a Part of Reno 16 Series in India, Specifications Tipped


OPPO is all set to debut the Reno 16 series globally and rumours about the devices’ India launch have also been ramping up. Leaks suggest that apart from the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro, a third device dubbed OPPO Reno 16c will be a part of the series in India. Here’s what we know about the device.

OPPO Reno 16c: What to Expect?

As per 91MobilesOPPO is bringing the Reno 16c along with the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro smartphones to India. The device will succeed the Reno 15c from earlier this year. The OPPO Reno 15c in India is said to share similar specifications with the Reno 16F, which will debut globally as a part of the Reno 16 series. It would also be bigger in size compared to the Reno 16, which gets a compact 6.32-inch display.

The publication has already leaked the Reno 16F specifications, so it is highly likely that the Reno 16c will share the same specifications as well. The handset could sport a 6.57-inch FHD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 paired with LPDDR5X and 3.1 storage.

The rear camera setup may consist of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens. A 50MP selfie camera could also be present. The Reno 16c may pack a 6,500mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC charging. It could have a plastic frame and come with an rated build, stereo speakers, and NFC.

These are all leaked specifications, so take them with a grain of salt.

The Reno 16 series India launch is tipped for July 2so one can watch expect the global launch on the same date or before that. The new Reno 16 series phones come powered with MediaTek Dimensity series processors and have a 200MP primary camera sensor on the back.

The Pro model in the Reno 16 series sports a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED flat screen with an FHD+ Resolution of 2772 x 1272 pixels, 3600 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ support, 450 ppi, 2160Hz PWM dimming, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It gets a 50-megapixel f/2.0 front-facing camera with auto-focus and EIS.
