Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembélé scored the goals in France’s victory over Morocco 2-0 To book his place in the World Cup semi-finals.
Mbappé scored his eighth goal of the tournament in the 60th minute on Thursday before Dembélé doubled France’s lead six minutes later to secure a decisive victory at Gillette Stadium outside Boston.

The win sends the 2018 champions to a final four showdown against Spain or Belgium in Arlington, Texas, on Tuesday.
It was expected that African champion Morocco would pose a serious threat to France’s hopes of reaching the World Cup final for the third time in a row.
But Didier Deschamps’ men were always in control of a limited Morocco team that failed to register a shot on target until the 83rd minute when a free kick by Azzedine Onai was blocked by France goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
But France struggled to achieve a breakthrough, and wasted the opportunity to take the lead in the 28th minute when Mbappe saw a penalty kick saved by Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
Mbappe won the penalty kick after being obstructed by Noussair Mazraoui, but he had to wait several minutes before he was allowed to take the kick after a long VAR check.
Morocco managed to hold out until the end of the first half, but it was always only a matter of time before the continued French pressure bore fruit.
The breakthrough came after the hour mark, as Mbappé fired a brilliant right-footed shot past Bono from the edge of the area.
Paris Saint-Germain star Dembélé secured the game in the 66th minute, running dangerously forward from midfield before firing a low shot into the bottom corner.
France is now awaiting the winner of the quarter-final match scheduled for Friday in Los Angeles between European champion Spain and Belgium.
