Kia India Price Hike Announced

Kia India has announced a price increase of up to 2% across its vehicle lineup, effective from 1st July 2026. The company stated that the revision has become necessary due to rising input costs and an overall increase in operational expenses. The exact quantum of the hike will vary depending on the model and variant. Kia has not yet revealed the revised price list for individual products.
Latest Price Revision From Kia
Like several other automakers operating in India, Kia has been facing higher commodity and logistics costs. The company said it has absorbed a significant portion of the cost escalation internally in an effort to minimise the impact on customers, but a partial price increase has now become unavoidable.
The revision will apply across Kia’s current portfolio, which includes models such as Sonet, Syros, Seltos, Carens Clavis, Carnival and EV6. The latest price hike move follows a broader trend across the automotive industry, with several manufacturers announcing price revisions in recent months to offset increasing costs of raw materials, components and logistics.
Customers planning to purchase a Kia vehicle can still avail current prices until the end of June 2026. The revised pricing structure will come into effect from 1st July 2026 and will vary across the company’s model range.

What Next?
To increase their market share in the country, Kia India has been working on multiple products in the pipeline. Some of them are expected to launch in the coming months, while some in 2027. The company is working on their second electric offering and their first electric SUV in the lineup in the form of Syros EV.
Syros EV is expected to launch some time around August 2026. Sticking with sub 4m SUVs, next gen Kia Sonet has been spied testing and the test mule sightings have only begun recently. So, launch might not be in the immediate vicinity. It might come with larger touchscreens on the inside, front and rear ventilated seats and other features.
Kia India is also keen on bringing Sorento Hybrid and are expected to locally manufacture it, instead of taking the CKD route. Sorento will be Kia’s first Hybrid offering for Indian market and it will be the brand’s flagship ICE SUV. This three-row Kia SUV will take on immediate rivals like Jeep Meridian, VW Tayron R Line, Skoda Kodiaq and others.

Price-wise, some variants of Kia Sorento Hybrid might lock horns with traditional ladder-frame SUVs like Toyota Fortuner and MG Majestor. Sorento Hybrid testing has commenced and launch is expected some time in 2027.
