Cricket commentary | TREW vs SULW, Final, Women’s 100 2026

Sophia Dunkley: It’s very frustrating, yeah, I’ve got six days off. Lucky for me, I live in London, so I would come home for a few days and then stop working. We had a very busy schedule, so I really enjoyed it and came back refreshed for training a couple of days ago and, yes, ready to go. I think for us it’s like cricket we want to play a high-pressure game, I think. I don’t want to take my foot off the pedal too much, and I think a big part of it is how to play in Lords conditions. I think we’ve had a lot of conversations about this, and I think communication has been really key, and I think that’s really a success today. I think for me it’s just trying to keep the same mentality every game and trying to put pressure on the bowlers. It’s funny that I keep playing very well and then finish sets with two low scores, but I think that’s just cricket. But the mentality doesn’t change so, again today, hopefully I go out there and be aggressive and try to get off to a good start, and it may work out, maybe it won’t, but I think it’s about intention and mentality for me. I think there were some jokes going around about me and Matt losing the finals at Lord’s, so it was like, don’t worry guys, we’ve got Ash, we’ve got Moons, so we should be good. But yeah, I think the experience is tremendous, obviously. They have done this many times. I think for us to learn that and communicate would be really cool. Yes, I’m really looking forward to it.
