The discovery has caught fans’ attention because of the complicated history between ADOR and HYBE, particularly the conflict involving NewJeans, YOUand THE Seraphim.

In April 2024, then-ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin publicly accused HYBE’s BELIFT LAB of copying NewJeans for ILLIT. She claimed similarities could be seen across the groups’ styling, choreography, photography, videos, and other aspects of their promotions.

BELIFT LAB strongly denied the accusations and later filed a defamation complaint against Min.

SOURCE MUSIC was also pulled into the wider dispute after Min discussed LE SSERAFIM and alleged that the group’s debut had affected NewJeans’ debut schedule. This led to further legal action and added another HYBE label to the conflict.

The situation eventually escalated into a much larger conflict among HYBE, ADOR, Min Hee Jin, and NewJeans.

Because of that history, fans have found the idea of ADOR employees working on the same floor as employees from other HYBE labels particularly amusing and awkward.

Some fans joked that ADOR and NewJeans should be moved even farther away from the rest of HYBE, while others joked that employees might have to be extremely careful about everything they do.

There were also comments suggesting that the situation could be uncomfortable for everyone involved, especially given how much conflict has taken place between the labels.

NewJeans should apologize to ILLIT and LE SSERAFIM and go to the basement.

Others also brought up ABD, joking about what it could be like for the new company’s employees and artists to enter the middle of the existing tension.
