Rajkumar Hirani, Arshad Warsi, Vikrant Massey, Vir Hirani, Mona Singh, music director Shantanu Moitra, lyricist Swanand Kirkire, director Avinash Arun, Alok Jain of JioStar and cyber security expert Amit Dubey attended the trailer launch of Pritam And Pedro at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. The web series is based on cybercrime, and Amit Dubey stunned the audience by hacking a journalist’s phone live to depict how easily scammers can wreak havoc. Towards the end of the event, Shreya Ghoshal made a special appearance and sang the song ‘Piya Piya Piya’. The highlight of the event, as expected, was Arshad’s one-liners.

Arshad Warsi said, “Raju and Vir share a beautiful father-son relationship. I’ll share an instance. Vir has a habit of standing in a drooping position. Even now, this is how he’s standing! One day, Raju came and told him, ‘Beta, keep eating the seeds’. He replied, ‘But dad, this is how I stand’. Then, I came and I told him, ‘Vir, eat the seeds only. He promptly said, ‘Yes, sir’ and stood upright! “
Arshad raised laughs as he joked, “There is no respect for the father, even if it is your father. Raj Kumar Hirani why not there!”
The host asked Vir if Arshad ever bullied him. Vir Hirani replied, “The only time I would feel bullied was when he would kill it in one take while I would need 10 takes to get it right.”
Arshad once again brought the house down by saying, “He would do right, but a lot of actors feel ‘I can hardly do this.. And I have reached that stage in my acting world me I found out that I can’t do this right.!”
Sanjay Dutt in Pritam And Pedro?
Arshad Warsi worked with Rajkumar Hirani in Munna Bhai MBBS (2003) and Stay safe Munna Bhai (2006), and both films also featured Sanjay Dutt. Arshad was asked if he missed Sanjay Dutt while shooting for the web series.
Arshad blurted, “No, we didn’t, as he’s there in the show.” Vir Hirani appeared stunned and gestured that Arshad was not supposed to inform the media about it. Arshad appeared to feel embarrassed and said, “Tell me what to say and what not to say.!”
The host requested the press to cut the part where Arshad spoke about Sanjay Dutt. Arshad quipped, “Yeh press waale hai. These are a few pieces, they are added!”
