According to IMDb’s biography of Archana Puran Singh, her first husband, Gurinder Singh, who was known as Sunny Reyar in the modelling world, died in 1991 on Diwali after accidentally shooting himself. The same account identifies him as a model who had also worked in advertisements before his death. News18 cannot independently verify the claims.

Archana Puran Singh has had a long career across Hindi films and television. She made her screen debut with Jalwa in 1987 and went on to star in films including Agneepath, Raja Hindustani, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein, Krrish, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, Bol Bachchan and Kick. On television, she became a familiar face through shows such as Shrimaan Shrimati, Comedy Circus and The Kapil Sharma Show. She has also hosted and judged several programmes and later became a permanent guest on The Great Indian Kapil Show.
Parmeet Sethi made his film debut as Kuljeet Singh in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in 1995, a role that remains one of his best-known performances. He later starred in films including Diljale, Dhadkan, Lakshya, Om Jai Jagadish, Kaal, Rustom, Dil Dhadakne Do, Laila Majnu and Mission Majnu. He also made his directorial debut with Badmaash Company in 2010 and has worked in television and streaming projects including Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, Special OPS and Citadel: Honey Bunny.
