Actor Shivaleeka Oberoi, known for her role in Khuda Haafizhas come out in support of Katrina Kaif after the actor faced body-shaming and harsh comments online over her recent public appearance.
Shivaleeka shared a post featuring Katrina and questioned the criticism surrounding her post-pregnancy appearance. “what happened? (What happened) means?! This is Motherhood!” she wrote.
She went on to highlight the realities of postpartum recovery, pointing out that the process can involve everything from bloating and exhaustion to the less-talked-about physical changes. “This is what normal postpartum recovery looks like – the good, the bad, the bloating, the exhaustion and everything in between,” Shivaleeka wrote.
Calling out unrealistic expectations placed on new mothers, she added, “Stop glorifying a version of motherhood that doesn’t exist.”
Explaining what prompted her reaction, the actor wrote, “After seeing multiple of such posts in the last few days can’t help but think how ridiculous the thought process is!”
Katrina Kaif’s rare public appearance
Her comments come days after Katrina was subjected to a wave of criticism over her appearance at filmmaker Kuku Kohli’s prayer meet with husband-actor Vicky Kaushal. The appearance marked one of Katrina’s rare public outings in recent months.
The Welcome actor, who welcomed her first child, son Vihaan Kaushal, with husband Vicky Kaushal in November 2025, has largely stayed away from the spotlight since embracing motherhood.
Work front
Katrina was last seen in Merry Christmas alongside Vijay Sethupathi, which released in 2024. Since then, the actor has kept her work commitments limited, with motherhood and caring for her newborn taking precedence.
