Yash-starrer ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ is into its second week at the box office after delivering a blockbuster opening and crossing the Rs 200-crore mark in India during its first week. The Geetu Mohandas directorial opened with Rs 101.10 crore net on Day 1 and has maintained a sizeable lead over ‘Dhurandhar Part 1’s opening-day India net of Rs 28.60 crore. The film’s theatrical run has continued amid mixed reactions, with its commercial performance driven largely by Yash’s star power and the strong opening. Director Geetu Mohandas has also remained in the spotlight amid discussions around the film’s unconventional style and narrative choices. More recently, ‘Dhurandhar’ filmmaker Aditya Dhar publicly praised ‘Toxic’.But the next milestones are therefore less about opening-day records and more about sustainability. ‘Toxic’ Day 1 to Day 7 earnings

‘Toxic’ made a spectacular start with Rs. 101.10 crore net on Day 1, followed by Rs. 37.65 crore on Day 2 and Rs. 27.20 crore on Day 3. The film then added Rs. 25.15 crore on Day 4 and Rs. 23 crore on Day 5, taking its five-day India net total to Rs. 214.10 crore. After the extended opening stretch, collections dropped to Rs. 7.65 crore on Day 6 before rising to Rs. 7.85 crore on Day 7.The international market has also contributed substantially to ‘Toxic’s worldwide haul. The film earned Rs. 20 crore overseas on Day 1, followed by Rs. 8 crore on Day 2 and Rs. 3.50 crore on Day 3. By the end of Day 5, its overseas gross had reached Rs. 29.25 crore, with another Rs. 2 crore added on Day 6. Day 7 brought in Rs. 1.50 crore, taking the overseas gross to Rs. 40.75 crore. As per Sacnilk, on Day 8, ‘Toxic’ recorded an India net collection of Rs. 3.78 crore from 11,330 shows. With this, the Yash and Kiara Advani starrer’s India gross collection has climbed to Rs. 278.69 crore, while its India net total stands at Rs. 233.38 crore.The language-wise numbers for Day 8 show Hindi leading the count with Rs. 3.15 crorewith other contributions being Rs 3 lakh by Malayalam, Rs. 20 lakh by Tamil and Rs. 40 lakh by Telugu. The figures for Kannada were not updated at the the time of writing this article.The film has maintained its overseas momentum with total international gross collections of Rs. 40.75 crore. Its worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs. 319.44 crore.
