Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe spoke to Real Madrid TV and previewed the upcoming season shortly after returning to the team in training.
“I’m very happy to be back and have my first impressions with the team, with the new coaching staff, with all my teammates, and with the people here at Valdebebas. It’s always good to come back here to play and prepare for the season,” the striker said.
This will be the first time that Mbappé works under Jose Mourinho.
He explained: “We talked a lot during the World Cup, and he talked to me a lot. I arrived a few days ago, and I think it is a very positive thing that we have a coach like him, someone who knows how to win and how to lead us to victory. I think every player is happy to have a coach who knows where he is going, and this is a positive thing for us.”
Mbappe is confident in the team’s ability to turn things around.
“We have to win. I’m sure we will win titles again this year. This is what we want, and this is what will happen. I feel that the team is motivated, and we will continue to focus throughout the year to bring happiness to all the madridistas. There is nothing more important than winning titles with the team, feeling joy, and giving that joy to the fans,” he concluded.
