The Spanish star signed a five-year contract with Luis Enrique’s team in a deal worth around 50 million euros.
Torres has now taken to social media with a video of some of his highlights from Barcelona, commenting: “Thank you very much and go Barcelona.”
Ferran went on to add more and thanked the club.
He added: “First of all, I would like to thank you all for everything. Defending these colors has been an honor for me. What I have experienced at Barcelona during these four and a half years has made me a better footballer and a better person.”
“During this time, Barcelona was my home, I arrived promising to give everything I had and that is what I worked for, always with the aim of helping the team, and taking Barcelona to where it deserves, to the top.
“I will leave behind the friends at this club, on and off the pitch, and the many people who made us all better. Together we were champions with Barcelona, and many of us also won titles with the national team. Thank you, Força Barça!”
