Barcelona decides on Luis Suarez as a potential replacement for Julián Alvarez

Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this week in an “exclusive” statement that Barcelona were considering Suarez but now it appears he has completely changed his mind.

The latest update says Barcelona “will not activate his €80m release clause” and Sporting now expect Suarez to stay.

Barcelona are now just over a week away from their first match of the new La Liga season, but do not have an established striker in their first-team squad following the departure of Robert Lewandowski and the departure of Robert Lewandowski. Ferran Torres.

Talk of a potential move for Alvarez continues but there has been little action since the striker announced during the World Cup his desire to move and Atletico insist he will not be sold.

Several alternatives have been mentioned, but as we head towards the end of the transfer window, it remains unclear whether Alvarez or any other striker will arrive this summer.
