Actor Ashwin Mushran has landed in controversy following a road accident in Goa, where he has been accused of hitting a father-son duo while allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road. The incident reportedly took place around 12.30 pm in Kusman, Quepem, Margao.
The father is said to have suffered serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. A video recorded after the collision has also surfaced online, showing Mushran and his wife in an argument with people gathered at the spot.
Ashwin Mushran Accused Of Driving On Wrong Side
According to allegations made after the accident, Mushran’s vehicle collided with the two-wheeler while travelling from the wrong direction. However, the exact sequence of events leading to the crash remains unclear.
Following the collision, Mushran and his wife allegedly blamed the biker, triggering an argument with locals. Local leader Amol Kanekar was among those who confronted the couple and questioned their conduct after the accident.
In the video circulating online, Mushran and his wife can be seen involved in a heated exchange with the crowd.
Speaking to In Goa 24×7, Kanekar made further allegations about the severity of the crash. He claimed that the biker sustained serious injuries and alleged that a fragment of the victim’s bone was found lodged in the top-right tyre fender of Mushran’s vehicle.
Local Leader Claims Actor Left For Party
Kanekar also alleged that instead of apologising immediately after the accident, Mushran argued with those present at the scene. He further claimed that the actor subsequently left the spot to attend a party.
The local leader levelled another allegation against Mushran’s wife, claiming that she spat at him during the confrontation.
According to Kanekar, locals stopped Mushran’s car and refused to return it until the actor came back and apologised. Mushran reportedly returned after some time and offered an apology. Kanekar, however, claimed that he found the actor’s attitude during the apology casual and lacking sincerity.
Police Version Awaited
Mushran, known for appearing in films including Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Fashion, Desi Boyz, Main Tera Hero and Shehzada, has not publicly responded to the allegations so far.
Importantly, several claims surrounding the incident currently come from Kanekar and people present at the scene. The police version of the accident, including who was responsible for the collision and the precise circumstances in which it occurred, is yet to be confirmed.
As of now, Mushran has neither issued an official statement nor publicly addressed the viral video and allegations surrounding the Goa accident.
