Users on X reacted to the leak with excitement. One user stated“Bro just hyped up the game more than Rockstar has been. This got me a little excited again for the game.” Meanwhile, another user stated“It basically means brands and movie studios may use GTA 6 itself as a giant advertising/storytelling platform, rather than just buying traditional ads around the game.”
Besides this, Sensor Tower’s Karl Kontus (GI.biz) also highlighted the potential impact of GTA 6’s pre-orders, estimating that 25 million pre-orders could generate around $2 billion in revenue. He noted that this could cover the game’s development costs and most of its marketing expenses.
In other news, Rockstar Games has also announced GTA 6: An Extended Look showcasewhich is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Netflix on August 27, 2026.
