We’ve had an eclipse: NASA photographers share stellar images from this week’s solar event — and there’s at least one Easter egg worth discovering

The total solar eclipse of 2026 may have passed, but thanks to NASA photographers who updated the space agency’s eclipse gallery with some of their shots from yesteryear, we can relive the solar experience with some stunning shots.

While a group of photographers at the agency shared their frames, for me, the standout images were captured Bill Ingleschief photographer for NASA headquarters, and Joel KofskyWho also shoots at the headquarters.

Unfortunately, NASA has stripped these frames of EXIF data, so we can’t see the camera and settings used, but we can still marvel at the gorgeous shots themselves.

This first piece, which for me is the best choice, was taken by Ingalls near San Millán de los Caballeros – a small village in the northern Spanish countryside.
