Al Hilal coach Simone Inzaghi provided a brief update on Juan Cancelo after his team’s opening match of the Saudi Professional League season on Friday.
Cancelo is hoping to secure a permanent move to Barcelona after another successful loan spell but a deal has yet to be agreed.
The defender was not among Al Hilal’s squad for Friday’s match, but Inzaghi was asked about his future after that.
He told reporters, “He continues to train regularly with the team. As for his future and the issue of his survival, this is a question for the board of directors.”
The latest reports indicate that Al Hilal has raised Cancelo’s price as transfer talks continue between the two sides.
