Many fans are utterly disappointed.
BTS members Jungkook and V are facing mounting backlash on social media after their fellow members recently got entangled in a major controversy.
Recently, V shared a short clip of himself and Jungkook in the gym, jamming along to a song. Both of them were sporting sleeveless vests, leaving Jungkook’s detailed sleeve tattoo on full display.

This social media post garnered a huge reaction from fans, many of them swooning over the pair’s visuals.

However, the clip rubbed many fans the wrong way, given the timing. It has only been a day since J-Hope and RM were seen attending Chris Brown‘s concert and proudly posing with him. Given Brown’s extensive history of abuse and the numerous allegations of sexual assault against him, many ARMYs were left thoroughly disappointed in the BTS members’ actions.

While a large portion of the fanbase was waiting for the members to take accountability for their actions publicly, V’s post came across to many as a calculated move. Social media has been flooded with speculations that the video was posted to distract or divert attention from the backlash.

They’re posting more content because the backlash HAS reached them, and theyre trying to distract everyone with the hopes that this will eventually die down and people will forget. But I need you guys to continue being loud about this, drag this for as long as possible

However, many fans came to V and Jungkook’s defense, arguing that they had been posting gym content before the controversy broke. Some also felt that the responsibility to take accountability lay with J-Hope and RM alone, and that the rest of the members shouldn’t be dragged into it.
