New Hyundai 7-Seater Revealed

The new Hyundai 7-seater shares several similarities with the Kia Carens Clavis EV from the inside. However, the model revealed is said to be a prototype, but looks like a final production unit.

On the outside, the front gets triangular-shaped LED units, similar to the Carens Clavis. There’s a grille, which looks identical to the Hyundai models, but it isn’t functional. Along with that, it has a connected LED lightbar running across the front. At the rear, it flaunts vertically positioned LED tail lamps along with a connected light bar running across the rear. Other highlights on the model include: dual-tone alloys, roof rails, and conventional door handles.

The brand has not revealed any technical specifications; however, we expect it to carry the battery pack options from the Hyundai Creta EV. That said, it could get both the 42kWh and a 51.4kWh battery pack options, delivering a claimed range of 420km and 510km respectively.

Expected Launch & Price

The model was revealed at the currently ongoing GIIAS (Indonesian Auto Expo). That said, we expect this 7-seater to launch in the international markets first, and later in India. That said, it could launch by late 2027. Hyundai could try to slot it in alongside the Alcazar in its portfolio. Expect this 7-seater to be priced between Rs. 18 lakh – Rs. 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). This new 7-seater will likely rival the Kia Carens Clavis EV, the upcoming Maruti 7-seater EV, the BYD eMax 7, and other models.
