Trevoh Chalobah has been recalled to England as an injury replacement

Trevoh Shlubah is going to the World Cup!
Our trusted defender received a call from Thomas Tuchel, just before the emergency squad change deadline (24 hours before the team’s first match), after former Chelsea player Tino Livramento suffered a calf injury in training over the weekend. Chalupa is now on his way to England’s training base in Kansas City – although he is not expected to feature in England’s first match, which takes place on Wednesday in Dallas, against Croatia.
While it is good to now have two Chelsea players in the squad, it is a bit of a surprising decision, considering Chalupa was last called up in November last year, and is not a full-back like Lefamino. And Trent Alexander-Arnold is there. But Tuchel showed strong convictions in forming his team, and this decision may be in line with any atmosphere he seeks.
Let’s hope it works out for him (and them)!
